CAIRA Art Editions presents "Not Just Passing Through"
CAIRA ART EDITIONS announces its pop-up exhibition Not Just Passing Through in North Adams, MA, celebrating artists Daniela Rivera and Sónia Almeida.
The pop-up complements solo exhibitions by Daniela Rivera (at MASS MoCA) and Sónia Almeida (at The Clark Art Institute), with whom Cambridge, MA-based Caira Art Editions published editions in 2025.
Building 13, MASS MoCA Campus, 1040 MASS MoCA Way, 1st Floor, North Adams, MA
On View Friday Oct 9 through Monday Oct 12
10am to 6pm (Fri-Sun); 10am to 1pm (Mon)
The pop-up complements solo exhibitions by Daniela Rivera (at MASS MoCA) and Sónia Almeida (at The Clark Art Institute), with whom Caira Art Editions published editions in 2025. Both print projects extend the visual vocabulary of the artists' ambitious museum installations into a domestic scale, while continuing their explorations across formats.
An inaugural 2025 Wagner Arts Fellow, Rivera's etchings were published for Wagner Foundation, whose founder and president Charlotte Wagner was this year's MASS MoCA Art Futures Award co-honoree. Prints by 2025 Wagner Arts Fellow L'Merchie Frazier and 2026 Fellows Tomashi Jackson (forthcoming), Lucy Kim, and Yu-Wen Wu (forthcoming) will also be on view.
Almeida's ambitious jigsaw woodcut is the first benefit edition whose proceeds go toward sustaining Boston Art Review's future. BAR is an independent online and print publication committed to facilitating active discourse around contemporary art in Boston. Find the current issue at MASS MoCA's Research & Development Store or The Clark Art Institute Museum Store.
Artists Crystalle Lacouture, S. Billie Mandle, and Cal Rice also return to the Berkshires with editions. All three are Boston-area artists who currently split their time or previously lived in the Berkshires. The connection between Boston and North Adams / Williamstown is strong. May we never be just passing through.

Daniela Rivera, Punto de Encuentro (day 18), 2025. Etching and debossing with lime and pigment powder monotype, signed in pencil and dated, titled, variable edition of 20.

Sónia Almeida, Asymmetries, 2025, jigsaw woodcut printed in colors, signed and dated in pencil, numbered edition of 25.
With adjacent MASS MoCA Building 13 publisher and printer of fine art silkscreen editions,
Gary Lichtenstein Editions, the businesses will co-host a Print Open House on Friday
October 9. All are welcome as we celebrate and share the printed medium and the many
living artists who are drawn to it.
